Sanderling Basics: The Sanderling is a common sense daysailer/weekender that offers spaciousness and comfort only found in larger boats.  She is easy to singlehand, or sail with family, and she is a safe stiff boat.  Her size, positive flotation, and stability allow for short offshore passages.  Nevertheless, her racing record is impressive, with many boats competing in fleets in New Jersey, Long Island Sound, Chesapeake Bay, and elsewhere.

 

Fleet News

MBC Sanderling Fleet to Invade Newport, RI:  Saddam isn’t there, and we really are not invading, but 5 fleet members and spouses plan on attending the Catboat Association meeting at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Newport on March 7 through 9.  It should be great fun!

 

Memorial Day Regatta and Cocktail Party:  The Memorial Day Regatta will be at MBC on Saturday, May 24.  We need three boats on the starting line to race.  The Memorial Day Cocktail Party is at 5:00 PM and the Sanderling Fleet is in charge.  Help is needed to set up and we need bartenders.
