Rowers returned to Monmouth Boat Club in 2000, established their charter in 2001, and joined the national organization, US Rowing, in 2002.

The Navesink River is wonderful for rowing.  We row most often in good weather when winds are low – typically early mornings and late evenings.

Our races are held every other week, as shown on the schedule for June through September.  Rowing races are the ones with AM start times :-).  See the race course and an aerial photo of the river.
Click for photos of the 2007 Summer Solstice race (also 2006, 2005 and 2004 photos).
Learning to row is possible at almost any age.  It is great exercise and lets you to enjoy the river, from the parkway to the inlet, at your own pace.

Many of us learned to row with Navesink River Rowing (NRR).  This non-profit organization offers lessons in June, July, and early August for adults and youth 14 to 18 years old.  Contact NRR at http://www.navesinkriverrowing.org
