I enjoy swimming in the pool

I finally learned to swim when I was two and a half years old. I could swim before then but I wasn't very good and I sure didn't like to! I fell into the pool in March of '96. Right through the pool cover. WAS IT COLD! I fell in again early in May (also '96). That was enough for me. The following summer I built up my courage to walk down the pool steps and cool off ... but I never get off the steps. Finally in the summer of '98 I got brave and gave swimming a try. Now I love the pool. Once in a while we even go to the beach. It's almost as much fun as frisbee!

I love jumping through water when it's squirted from a hose. Sprinklers are fun too. But sometimes it's fun to just sit by the pool.

Pool World

Pool World is the company that built my pool .........about 12 or 13 years ago I'm told.

One day (September 23, 2001) we went to Pool World to get some pool supplies. There was a foxy looking 4 year old female Lab named Hershey playing in the Pool World swimming pool. Her Mom (a bi-ped) asked if I'd like to go for a swim too. Nobody has to ask me twice! We played in and out of the pool for about a half hour. I think I scared Hershey a bit at first....... but hopefully she eventually had as much fun as me. A picture of Hershey is on the left of this page.

Today my pool was closed for the year and Hershey's Dad (also a bi-ped) said I could come swim in theirs .... it's open until November. I just may take them up on it! If you live anywhere near Middletown, New Jersey and want a pool in your yard check out Pool World. Our pool has been great and they're always there when we need them. Tell them Rudy sent you! I'll even come over to try it out to make sure it's O.K. ;-)

My Vet

My veterinarian is Doc Borzio of Northside Animal Hospital on Staten Island, NY. He's also my neighbor. Dr. Borzio is a great doctor (awarded "Veterinarian of the Year" in 2000 by the New York City Veterinary Association) and can you believe it.......he makes house calls to my house.

Thanks to Doc Borzio, I don't have fleas!

School

In September '96 I completed my first puppy course. It took eight weeks and I went to PetsMart every Saturday for one hour. My instructor was Rich Fitzgerald, a real nice, patient guy. He taught me to sit, stay and lie down. Actually, I knew how to do all these things already but now I've learned WHEN to do them. I still prefer to do them when I want to, however! Rich presented me with a diploma after my last class. If we can find it I will get my master to scan it and put it on my home page for you to see.

I like PetsMart! It's the only store I know of that will let me in. There are a lot of other dogs that come to PetsMart with their owners too. That's where we buy my practice frisbees. (I have a tendency to chew up my frisbees when I'm bored). My official frisbees are Alpo Fastbacks.
