Leesport, PA Official Alpo FrisbeeDog Competition - 7/11/98

On a beautiful Saturday morning we drove almost 3 hours to the 4 H field in Leesport, Pennsylvania. I love to ride in the car so the ride was wonderful. We met a lot of neat new people and dogs. In the other events I've been to the people and dogs are always great too. I was told by the organizers that there would probably be two more Labs entering. Was I excited! I've never competed in a local mini distance event against another Lab and looked forwarded to doing so. It would have been fun to meet them too. Well, they didn't come.

The winner was Nellie Belle (sp?) a German Short Haired Pointer. One of the judges said she was like a machine! She was cute too! :-)   I was fortunate to win 2nd place edging the very capable Ajay by one point. Whew!
