Annapolis NorthEast Regional  Skyhoundz FrisbeeDog Competition - 6/16/2001

Plf1 Saturday (June 16, 2001) was  the NorthEast Regional Skyhoundz Discdog Championship event in Annapolis, Maryland.  This event was the regional event for Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia, Washington D.C. and parts of Canada.  The top two winners of the Open division will be going to the World Championships in Washington D.C. in December!

There was a Sport Division consisting of two Distance/Accuracy rounds and an Open Division consisting of a Freestyle elimination round followed by a Distance Accuracy and another Freestyle.

I entered the Sport Division as I am a bit too big for Freestyle.  Unfortunately we bombed!  Our first two throws went out of bounds, another was too long and low to reach so I wound up with a grand total of 5 points.  My worst ever!  It wasn't enough for me to be among the top 8 to qualify for the final round.  Bummer!

On the other hand my friend Bear, an Aussie, had a great day and finished second in the Open Division.  Bear and his human, Chris, will be going to the World Finals in September.  Everyone else better look out!  Go Bear!
