Skyhoundz Canine Disc Competition - May 4, 2003

The weather was great, even if it was a bit cloudy.   Since there wasn't a huge turnout this year, several of us decided to compete in multiple rounds (i.e. with more than one  human thrower).  The competition was very tough with one prior World Championship Finalist team (Dasher & Ed) and another half of a World Finalist team with her newest dogs (Jetson & Gail, Houston & Gail and Brooklyn & Gail).   I am not at all discouraged by coming in 4th against competition of this caliber.    I'll bet we see  a team or two (or more) from this group competing at the Skyhoundz World Finals again this September!

The Sport Competition consisted of two rounds of Distance/Accuracy competition as specified by official Skyhoundz rules.  There was also a freestyle competition held after the end of the Sport Division.     I was not able to stay to watch as I had made a commitment to perform a canine Frisbee demonstration at the annual Pet Fair held at Trailside Nature and Science Center in Mountainside, NJ.  Following are the results of the Freestyle competition.
