Did you know that here in New Jersey you have some pretty decent canine frisbee competitors?   In 2001, three of the New Jersey Canine Frisbee Dogs (Bear, Kallah and Rudy) achieved some impressive credentials including combining for a New Jersey Team win at the National Capitol Air Canines frisbeedog club's annual canine frisbee "State Challenge" in York, PA.   There were teams representing North Carolina, Virginia, Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. No less than six individual competitors were either current or past world finalists!  I'm proud to say that the New Jersey team was victorious.  In addition, the following accomplishments were achieved in 2001 by NJ canine frisbee competitors:

o  1^st place tie in open division (Bear) – Catskill Classic, - Skyhoundz  
          Local Championship - Saugerties, NY
o  1^st place in sport division (Rudy) –   Skyhoundz Local 
          Championship - Saugerties, NY
o  1^st place over all individually (Bear) - PA State Challenge, York, PA
o  1^st place Team - New Jersey (Bear, Kallah, Rudy)– PA State Challenge
             - York, PA
o  Dogtoberfest Freestyle champion (Bear) – MD  
o  1^st place (Bear) -  Skyhoundz Local Championship - Durham, CT
o  1^st place (Rudy) - New York City Skyhoundz Local Championship - 
o  3^rd (Rudy) and 4th (Bear)  - Leesport, PA Skyhoundz Local Championship
o  2^nd (Rudy) and 3rd (Bear) overall - Shamrock Showdown - Wyndmoor, PA
o  2^nd (Bear) - Skyhoundz Northeast Regional Championships - Annapolis, MD
o  8^th (Bear) - Skyhoundz World Finals - GA
