Children's Courses
Explorers I (ages 3-5) 45 mins. per week class. This class offers a solid foundation for the young beginner. We teach proper mouse skills, beginning keyboarding, basic computer vocabulary, colors, shapes, phonics, beginning mathematics, and graphic art. Explorers II (ages 6-8) 50 mins. per week. This class provides a push for the beginning-intermediate older student. We build on the traditional skills such as reading,writing, geography, keyboarding, math and problem-solving, while teaching the fundamentals of computer science, Windows navigation, graphics, scanning, sound recording and multimedia presentation. Students will use Microsoft Office in presenting their work. Cybernauts (ages 9+) 55 mins. per week. The Cybernauts program assumes some prior knowledge of the computer. We teach more advanced skills, such as computer simulation, multimedia presentation, scanning, navigating the Internet, Keyboarding and mastering advanced Windows and Office applications.(Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access & Publisher) As part of our curriculum we help the students master the educational objectives designed for their specific grade level. |
